CLOSED DIE FORGINGSOhio Star Forge manufactures closed die forgings for Tier I and Tier II suppliers to the automotive, bearing and and heavy truck industries. Forgings currently being produced include deep groove ball bearings, taper roller bearings, wheel hub units, fasteners, cold forming blanks, gear blanks, a variety of transmission parts and other automotive components. We also produce closed die forgings for the off-highway industry, as well as balls that are used for various bearing applications.Ohio Star Forge is equipped with three Hatebur hot formers which can produce closed die forgings within the 1 to 5 inch outside diameter size range. Our high production efficiency, with an average of 110 parts per minute, provides a cost advantage over other forging methods.
